Through the App Orchard program, Self Care Decisions offers Epic clients the ability to integrate symptom checking / self triage with MyChart, to support their patients’ healthcare decisions and direct patient flow to scheduling options and appropriate locations within their organization.
Placing a ‘Symptom Checker’ link within MyChart (left side of image) provides patients the ability to assess their symptoms and determine what action they need to take and when (how soon).
The other supported option is to ‘Sign in to MyChart’ from the symptom checker your organization’s website (right side of image). This pulls in the patient’s name, age and gender, which personalizes the interaction and streamlines the experience.
